30% gem replacing 2x gems

I got a 30% off gems 2 days before labor day is that replacing the 2x gem deal? I thought the 2x was normally offered on holidays it was not on labor day.

  I get the 2X gems like twice a month    Usually you get 30% off when you hit a certain level

  I think you need to pass MS 60 before you receive 2Xs gems. Everyone receives the specials but the 2Xs started for me after getting 30% off for life, that was milestone 60. Hope this helps.
