Hey Victor, sorry to hear you were getting disconnected.

I don't think we have any popups in the game that say "Did you know...".

Next time it happens, can you grab a screenshot and post it please?  If you're not familiar with grabbing screenshots, there's some info here: https://www.take-a-screenshot.org/windows.html

If anyone can post a screenshot that would be very helpful.  Please include the whole screen so we can see the browser being used, what operating system etc.   It all helps.

Ah ok - that's actually very helpful.  I didn't realize that was the screen you are seeing.  That screen should only appear if you close the main dashboard (which shows all of the games) either after you just reloaded the site (which it doesn't sound like is happening here) or that you were removed from another room for some reason.

E.g. When playing blackjack in a group, if you are too slow to act, eventually you'll be removed from the blackjack room and end up here.

So now the follow up question is what was happening before this?

For the OP (Victor) it sounds like you were playing Bingo.  BCups what were you doing before this happened to you?  Do you remember?

I have gotten that screen when attempting entry to BJ tables or Roulette, for instance.  I thought it popped up because the room was full temporarily.  For me, this has never come up to interrupt play.

OK thanks again for the extra details everyone.

Sounds like the steps I'm hearing that most often lead to this are:

    a) You go into a game (doesn't seem to matter which game)

    b) You play for a bit

    c) You bring up the challenge UI to check on the challenges

    d) You close the challenge UI

    e) You get dumped to the "Did you know..." page (<-- this is clearly a bug).

This obviously doesn't always happen but it's happening enough to cause a lot of problems.

We'll get some folks looking into it and see if we can figure out the root cause.

Thanks for all of the extra information.  It's clearly a bug, we just need to find a way to reproduce it reliably (so we can then fix it).  Hopefully this information will allow us to do that.

i just got dumped in a PARTY hosted by ROBERT 1180.  We were at the very last BOX.  For no apparent reason,, i was booted out and the "Did You Know" screen of DEATH popped up.  This is unacceptable.  How will CW make it right.  Similar problem when I play Osiris....

Dan the bug is not really that players see the "Did you know screen?".  It's that they are being taken out of the previous game, party or other experience for some reason and that's the bug.  They shouldn't be leaving the room they were in before. And we're actively working to try to figure out why that is happening.  It's a very tricky problem but the feedback from everyone in this post has been very helpful as we try to narrow down exactly when this occurs and why.

We're still working on this and expect it will take a while to solve this one.  But we are on it.

DanD on your challenges page go to rewards and you see what level you are at on the timeline, I'm wondering if its a quirk on the timeline for everyone at a certain level, I'm curious to find out what level everyone is sitting at in the game who complain of this very thing. I had it happen to me today just before level 585 mine happened during a game and also during sea of riches my screen froze ( diff issue but def lost all my winnings and they werent added to my page because gems, coins and charm counts remained the same)

I'm not sure whether this issue ever got solved or not, but I think it has at least somewhat, and I now may have a clue as to why it was happening.  I posted about having this problem a few weeks ago somewhere else in Help...not sure where.  It was the same problem, but when it happened to me was when I was writing long replies to messages in my Inbox.  All of a sudden, I would get whisked away to that screen, and lose everything I'd spent so much time trying to compose.

I believe this is some kind of an "inactivity" sensor issue.  The software thinks you haven't been active for whatever the time limit amount is, so it boots you out to the main screen.  I don't know why Inbox message composition would be considered "inactivity though.

I think this was happening to some people at parties, because a lot of folks just don't move at all when they are in a party room.  Lately though (at parties) I have seen speech "bubbles" appear over some avatars that say "AFK", which is an old, old acronym that means "Away From Keyboard".  Evidently the software has been modified so that when the "inactivity" time level has been reached, that message pops up.  I think this prevents the player from being removed from where ever they currently are, and serves as a warning to give them enough time to make some type of movement to reset the inactivity clock., before they are booted out.

I'm not sure what's been done to fix you getting booted if you're playing a game and are inactive for too long a time, but probably the inactivity timeout was just extended or something.

Again, it would have been helpful if the cause of the problem, and the fix had been explained, so that everyone understood why they were having the issue and how it could be prevented.
