How to Temporarily Stop Getting (Blue Banner) Party Invitations
Please give us the option to de-activate the Blue Banner party invitations so we don't have to RECEIVE them for a specified time or until we turn that feature on again. We would like to continue SENDING this type of invitation. We only want to stop receiving them while we are heavily engaged in a game or conversation. We would rather not have to keep reminding our friends or blocking each other. I have tried to activate the ignore feature, but when the same person sends me another invitation, I get that one, too. The large blue banner is a nuisance, especially when I am playing Texas Holdem. We are not suggesting at all to kill the banner. We are simply asking for more control so that we can turn off RECEIVE ONLY. I wouldn't hurt to make the banner smaller, but just being able to turn it off is enough.

Hi there,
There is an option in the Settings to turn off party invitations. To find this setting, click on Account in the upper right corner of the screen and click on Settings.
When your Settings page has opened, click on Privacy & Sharing, and uncheck the box to show party invitations. When you're ready to receive party invitations again, just check the box again.
Thanks!

Samantha, I have done that, however this only stops the small invitation box in top left corner. I know what what SHIN AZY is talking about and that banner across the entire screen is a pain. Some times when you click "NO" to join them, the location of that box makes you click something in your game. OMG is this frustrating. PLEASE take those banner invitations away.

I agree with Mydonna and so does YabaDaba N DoToo. We still get those blue banner invitations from friends who find me randomly or otherwise on their friend's list.

OH MY GOSH! I accidently clicked on one of those party invite banners, thinking it was a friend request. I was in the middle of collecting of a huge slot win, when I was transported to a party and did not get my win. I will try the unclick feature in my account. I didn't know it existed.

We are asking CW to work on an update that subordinates the Blue Banner invitations to the "Show Party Invitations from Friends" toggle switch. Please advise when the requested change will be put in work.
I still get those blue banner invitations from friends who find me randomly or otherwise on their friend's list. The yellow invites don't bother me nearly as much as the blue ones do. The switch turns off the yellow ones, but not the blue ones. As Bella N Joy indicated, the Blue Banner Party Invitation looks a lot like a Friend Request.
This is a follow-up to my previous request #245866 "How to Temporarily Stop Getting Party Invitations.

Hi there,
This looks to be a bug, so I've passed this along to the appropriate teams to take a look into the blue invitations also being blocked by this setting. I don't have an exact date on when this will be resolved, but we should see improvements in the next couple of weeks or so.
Thanks!

I've never gotten a blue banner party invitation in the 1 1/2 months I've been on CW......except when I'm already in a party room. I do get the other ones all the time. Several times I've gotten multiple blue banner invites from some person who's already in the same party with me, but they're not on my Friend List.
This is really confusing since they're not my friends, and we're already both at the same party. Can anyone explain why this would be happening?

LuckIsALady I have had the same issue and have asked the person why they sent me an invite to a party I'm at and clearly they clicked on me since they aren't my friend, when that happens I end up blocking the person.
and yes that blue invite is bothersome when in a poker game and i need to respond on my turn and lose time clicking on it to see my game 😑🙄

Now I've started getting blue banner party invites from ppl who are not only NOT on my Friends List, but they're not even in the same room with me, AFAIK. This is when I'm playing a game though, rather than at a party, so maybe they're on the Room List. I seldom look at that when I'm playing a single player game.
The only thing I know to do is to click on Ignore on the blue banner, for that person. I hope that means I won't get invites from them ever again, rather than just for that party. Ppl who are not on our Friend's List should not be able to send party invites to us! CW, you need to do a better job of protecting our privacy instead of allowing us to get contacted by ppl we have NOT friended.
If we do get a blue banner invite from a friend we also need more info on the party, especially how much it costs, host, etc. Now all we're getting is just that so-and-so person wants us to join them in a party room.

When this happens, can you double-check the room list to see if the player is in the game room or party room with you?

KissAndy, you sure do have a way with words. The smell you described has blown right through the internet and is wafting out of my computer as I'm writing this ;-p Eww!

Denise Wynnzall, we're looking into why the invitations are being received while in stealth mode.

Immortal, if you get invited via the blue banner to a party and accept, the cost issue is only a problem if the party hasn't started yet. If the party has started, before you can actually enter the party room you'll get the screen that says something like "this is a party for (charm name) x (number of items) which costs (number of gems)" . If you decide you don't want to go to the party, you can cancel at that point, and won't be charged the entry fee.
Problem is when you get one of these, you have no way of knowing whether the party has or hasn't started. If it hasn't and you accept the invite, it could be very embarrassing if you don't have enough passes/gems, or it costs more than what you wanted to spend.
