ADVANCED Tip # 9c: Number 3 - "The Fat-H Board". Another nice board with a relatively large playable area. It goes quickly though because of the open design but you are nearly guaranteed to come away with coinage!

ADVANCED Tip # 9d: Number 2 - "The Notched Square Board". A phenomenal board with a large playable area and cubby holes to drop and hide in corners your squares with Protecting Power ups. I've worked this board so many times... moving gems into the positions I want, creating multiple cascade drops over and over again while tricking the power-ups to move in crazy directions and squeezing out every drop of coin I can get. Just love this board because it's fun to play as well.

ADVANCED Tip # 9e: Number 1 - "The 2-shelf Square Board ".  And the number one board is (drum roll please).. the 2-shelf Square Board! Just love this board. It's absolutely the best to maximize your winnings. Has a large play area, horizontal shelves vs vertical shelves that essentially creates two games in one! The top level and lower levels can literally be played and cascade separately while allowing you to strategize each move. Additionally the left and right sides are multi-coated squares thereby keeping you in the game longer. Be careful though.. the knives and fire bombs will tend to land in those areas so employ my maneuvering tips to keep the sides from the getting destroyed. Also the bottom left and right corner can more easily get the Protecting Power up scenario so watch for that as well. I've literally played this single board for over 30-45 minutes using my techniques coming away with 100M coin!!  ALWAYS play this board when it comes up with 15-gem or the 6-Ankhs.

ADVANCED Tip # 10: Other boards and refreshes. There are other nice boards out there but they are diminishing returns on your investment and not worth playing unless you've got a great setup to start (4 or 5 gems combos out the gate, rare gems ready to be connected or Ankhs in lower positions). I personally now seek out only the top 5 boards because I want come away with 30-40M at least vs just 5-10M but hey... that's me. Choose the boards the make the most sense for yourself. Do what works.

As for refresh rate, I can usually get one of these boards pop up with the right configurations every 4-5 times give-or-take so be patient. You will get one in less than 10 refreshes for sure.

Ty so much, zagnut, for posting the board examples.  Gonna be a great help to me.

If you're male, another great way to make more money than you lose is through the Sports Book. 😁

Currently, I'm +40,000,000 chips over what I've bet. Poker is also a third way to make more money than you lose. So technically, the only three games that you can beat with pure skill is Sports Book, Poker, and Jewels of Osiris.

zagnut84  A comment about browsers: Google Chrome is actually the best. This is especially true on higher end hardware. It should be noted that part of the reason as to why Google Chrome might not work better than Firefox on your hardware is because you may have extremely low-end hardware. Google Chrome tends to optimize graphics rendering in ways that doesn't necessarily work the way it's supposed to on very low-end systems. The way Firefox works is that it doesn't perform ANY kind of hardware-based optimizations. Therefore, it works the same across all hardware. What this means is that, while it will get better results on low end systems, Google Chrome will outperform Firefox on any higher-end systems. This is why 70% of the population used Google Chrome for things: most people have (at the very least) medium to high-end systems.

Another reason could be your internet connection. The optimizations Google Chrome makes don't necessarily work on very slow networks.

Me personally: I use Microsoft Edge for playing Casino World because I don't use Microsoft Edge for doing anything else. What this means is that I can turn off all tracking protection, allow all cookies, turn off security, etc. and get the best results when playing this game. I have almost no issues when playing with Microsoft Edge because of this. My "daily driver" web browser is actually Vivaldi. If you've never tried Vivaldi, I highly recommend you give it a shot. It's probably the best Chrome-based browser in existence!

Buzzed Lightyear  Appreciate your notes but I am sticking to my recommendations based on my experience of CW game play. Chrome is NOT always the best (I didn't use to think that) for ALL situations and I've troubleshot to great extend on my relatively newer system AND on my brand new android-based tablet with built-in Google/Chrome. I think Chrome sometimes tries too hard and over-optimizes at system resources expense. Similarly as you use Edge, I use Firefox for CW as I don't use it for anything else.

Nevertheless, everyone will pick what works best for them. I can only tell you from my experience. I will take a look at Vivaldi. Thank you.

Thanks Zag for this info and all the hard work you've put in writing it all up.         I guess another CW game that just hates me......lol......I've been trying and trying all night and keep ending up even.      I think I've read all your stuff multiple times.     I won't give up though.  lol

ADVANCED Tip # 11: Timing is Everything. In my previous tips I mentioned wait till you recover your losses before employing charms (don't have to use charms and can still win using my tips), otherwise you're just wasting them. But IF and WHEN you use charms there is another thing to consider--- timing of charms at big plays. Specifically, if the lower part of the board is setup for at least a 5-gem combo or about to clear a rare gem or Ankhs challenge.. consider arming a four-set charm combo. In the next move a cascade event will occur resulting in serious coinage!!

In the below examples I was set for both a 5-gem combo and clearing the Ankh challenge. I employed  charms and came away in just that move alone $3M.Ultimately I ended the board up $60M. Not bad using a mediocre set of them.

ADVANCED Tip # 12: Turn off the Music. I don't know about you but I can't stand the background music in Jewels of Osiris. SOOOO annoying. Makes it hard to concentrate on the game. Recommend going into your Account >> Sound and change to play "Game Sounds Only". Better focus = better moves = more coins.

The "Infamous 8-gem combo".  Can't move or create this combo. It automatically downgrades to a 7-gem combo on any move within it so in reality it doesn't exist This doesn't show up very often but when it does looks cool.

And let's not forget the ultra-rare 9-gem combo that only appears for a second when its generated by drops. That would be a "star" formation, example below a white gem in the center. As previously mention it's value is dependent on the number cascade drops and is always substantially less than the first move but subsequent drops increase.

Buzzed Lightyear  Appreciate the notes on the other skill-based games. I would add Dragon Mahjong (which I am an expert at as well) is another. It's just a very sloooow-playing game. I always come away with a win but for the time it takes to get say... a couple million from Dragon Mahjong I could have millions from Jewels of Osiris. So I save it for the challenges now. I've also have some skill at picking horses on Emerald City Stakes (Horse Racing), just go with the odds. ;)

zagnut, I've gotten the 8 gem combo you show above  quite a few times in the last couple of weeks, and maybe some of the 9 gem combos.  I didn't know about the 9 gem combo to look out for it.  They always fall that way after a cascade, and then I play them by exchanging the middle gem for one of the predominant color ones to make a 5 gem combo.  Is that the correct play?

It would be a 7-gem combo and not a 5 if you did it correctly. Just exchange any one of the gems near the center and move it in place of the center will give you the 7.

zagnut, I use Firefox as my primary browser, but began using Chrome a lot for game playing a few years ago.  Reason being, I feel I can better shield my personal info, tracking, etc. from Google on Firefox (maybe a false assumption), but I don't care if they know what games I play.  Also, on sites that save your game info in your browser profile with cookies, you can set up multiple accounts by creating different accounts on different browsers.   For most games I've played on both browsers I've seen little, if any, difference in performance between Firefox and Chrome.

Match Arena is a kind of neat Match 3 game that I used to play, with accounts on both Firefox and Chrome.  If any of you are into Match 3 games and want to take a break from CW now and then, you might want to check it out.  You play against different RL opponents, move up through Leagues, and compete in Daily Challenges against everyone in your League.  Its totally free.

I used Chrome to play on CW until you mentioned Firefox was better.  I've been having some issues with JOS rendering slowly on Chrome (although none of the other problems you mentioned, and the net's been getting slower and slower as the holiday approach), so decided to see if Firefox would fix that.  I ran into a weird problem though & decided to go back to Chrome.  I like to play in Fullscreen mode, but on Firefox the screen would keep shifting back & forth between Fullscreen and the normal size window every time I moved my cursor.  It was driving me batty, so I switched back.

Well my Jewels of Osiris fellow players, I've run through nearly everything I can think of for tips. Trust me when I say if you use my tips you will DEFINITELY win in Casino World.  If something else comes up I'll be sure to post but in the meantime I will continue to make comments and observations of the game. I have a handful I'll start of with soon... :D

zagnut84   Just passed the 200,000,000 coins won mark from SportsBook.* If you haven't given any thought to giving SportsBook a try, I highly recommend it. It's WAAAAAY easier to make coins from SportsBook than it is to make coins from Jewels of Osiris. In fact, having followed the guide you posted here, I've discovered that making coins through Jewels of Osiris is very hard work!

*That's coins won over coins lost. I literally keep bean counter track of my sportsbook winnings and losings with my Monroe Ultimate X accounting calculator by adding every single win and subtracting every single loss by hand. The exact number is (currently) +205,312,651 coins won over coins lost. I've probably actually, physically bet around 300,000,000 coins and lost around 100,000,000 coins.

zagnut84  I don't know anything about the horse racing mechanic, so when horse racing came up as a Monthly Challenge, I noticed that there are only 6 horses to choose from. I successfully beat the Monthly Challenge by picking the winner by simply assigning a number to the horses 1 - 6. Then I rolled my die. Whatever number came up on the die, I bet on that horse. 😁

Note: please don't use this strategy as a serious horse betting strategy.

Buzzed Lightyear, I don't know anything about the Sports Book - How you navigate it, how to bet and make money, none of that. But what I do know is that the top scorer there is a lady who is up to 9 Trillion coins for the year, you know, trillion with  "T". And the next two are over 5 trillion. Absolutely astonishing! I have no Idea how they've done that, Had no idea it could even be done.

Also, in the slot game Ozma, the top two players are over 2 trillion for the year.

Anyone who wants to check it out - go to Top Scorers, filter for This Year and scroll through all the games. Five people over a trillion and one of them over 9 trillion.

As to the horse betting, we can always win the challenge even if we lose coins. Say the challenge is to win three times. I make the minimum 1 K bet, pick the four longest odds and bet them each to Show. I've got a ticket on four horses. If the two I don't bet come in 1st and 2nd, one of my four will come in 3rd. Can't lose the challenge. Lose a little coin but win the challenge every time.

k9 Probably through SportsBetting as I pointed out. I made +200,000,000 coins in just 19 days. I can't wait to see my total at the end of a whole year. As far as strategies are concerned, check out the internet. There's TONS of information out there that you can test out here in game.

EDIT: I just checked the top scores, and realized I'm in the top 100 for Sports Book. That's actually kinda cool to see.

Buzzed Lightyear  You are right. Games of skill are always a lot of work but do get easier the more you play them. Now on the topic of Sports Book--- I've played it and have to say... it's not my cup of tea. Honestly, I find it boring. There's no game play, not exciting at all... at least with Emerald City Stakes there are horses moving across the screen.

There's a great deal to be said about CW game play and enjoying it for what it is which is probably why slots are the most popular games (and most likely to lose). Betting on sports is not really fun in my book[ie] (nice pun eh?) but puzzle games are. So it really comes down to game preferences. I believe in having fun first, going at your own pace and achieving personal goals--not to see who gets the most coin and being top dog in a particular game (although I do enjoy being one of the best players around in Jewels of Osiris ;) )  As you recall my tips are based around beating CW and doing it on the CHEAP..   Which is a nice lead-in to my first post of comments/Observations.... >>>

Comment/Observation # 1: Questionable Top Scores. Some of you may have wondered if I am so good why don't I ever show up on the top players board on Jewels of Osiris? Well, if I played all day...all night...all the time... I can say with high level of confidence I'd be in the top 3 consistently. But I can't and I don't. I have to work for a living like most of us. Playing CW isn't my #1 priority so I play when I can. Now, I have shown up quite a few times on the leaders board but that's playing continuously and without charms (because remember, I do it cheaply). Now this got me thinking.... how DOES CW calculate winnings for the leader board? So I send an inquiry to CW Support asking this very question. The answer I received was surprising. They said top score coin count is based on total winnings - the bet amount + the charm bonus amount. Huh??.... does anyone think that's kinda misleading in terms of who are the best players? Why not just calculate the winnings without charms? Come on CW...that's an unfair playing field. I mean someone with real cash can literally jack the system by buying a bunch of top charms and end up in top position with very little skill all because they led a "charmed life". I find this to be borderline cheating. So subsequently I place very little credence in CW's leader boards for that reason alone.

There is a good chance those so-called "Top Players" charmed their way to the top.   Boo on you CW....

zagnut84   True, but here's the thing: you're trading fun for the bets being passive meaning you don't have to spend more than 5 minutes per day in the Sports Book. This gives Sports Book the advantage of not taking up any of your time. What this means is that you can both play the Sports Book and Jewels of Osiris at the same time.

After all, I don't just play Sports Book. I play Texas Hold 'Em Poker as well (another game of skill might I add). Unfortunately, due to FlowPlay limiting Texas Hold 'Em to a mere 2,000,000 chips buy-in max, it's not quite as profitable as Sports Book. But it makes up for the lack of profits in being very fun! Have you ever tried poker?

Buzzed Lightyear  I do know poker and play occasionally but my real interest are all the puzzle-type games, Bingo, Dragon Mahjong, Double Dragon Pai Gow and a handful of slots. I also play blackjack but no longer on CW. I have better chances of winning at a real casino. CW so obviously cheats at it, doesn't play like normal blackjack at all. I play other games as well but not on CW.

Buzzed Lightyear  Perhaps you could enlighten everyone with your own tips on Sport Book as I have done for Jewels of Osiris. Start your own post and provide some examples of your success. Walk us through one--- how about a betting tip for say some teams this week, I'll play it and let you know how it goes.
