They even kept an attendance list to make sure everyone gave the requested number of charms.  Very rude.

I've been to the Party where a person announced who was going to call names to make sure everyone buys a charm, it seems over the top controlling and petty like an OCD person is manipulating the party. they need to let go of their need to control and let the party flow as it was designed to work, if people aren't gifting then simply leave the party.

TALKING ABOUT GREEDY. I SAW A PARTY FOR 5 RUBY'S, A 5000 GEM ENTRY. I THOUGHT WOW, WHO CAN AFFORD THAT?  I MARKED IT AS A PARTY TO COME BACK TOO AND ENTER, JUST TO SEE WHO COMES. I FOUND OUT IT WAS A GUEST AND HE WASN'T ON LINE. I LOOKED AT HIS VILLAGE AND SAW SEVERAL OTHER PARTIES SCHEDULED. THAT TO ME IS GREEDY. IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO GET INTO YOUR OWN PARTIES YOU SHOULDN'T HOST THEM. JUST SAYING.....!

I like these party's.  Your pretty much guaranteed 25 or 50 of that charm plus the stuff on the party meter. Almost everyone of these party's will bust with the right host.    And most of them are friends of the host so there people who are trusted to give what they should.  If I don't know the host I don't go   A lot of them are on the honor system which most of the time don't work and a lot of moochers go to them and don't give.  There are plenty of party's on here now to go to if you don't like certain ones find another party.

The must toss partys only make it fair no freeloaders go to it and all have to toss same thing so we all get at least 25 of that charm.  If they call name and they don't toss there blocked from attending other party's from the host.  As for party passes, invest in the tier 11 large buildings they pay the most in your treasure box.  I usually get at least 5000 passes a day or more from my TBs but my city is all Willies.

My thoughts on both grab and go, and controlled toss parties are: If you are low on gems, go to the grab and go's. You can pick up gems for low cost, maybe only party passes. If you go to grab and go for just the G & G, thank everyone and leave the party. If you go to a controlled toss party: You will be asked to toss whatever was asked for in the party description. So don't be alarmed if you attend one and they ask you to throw the requested item. Controlled tosses are the most fair way to get the most out of a party. If you go and don't toss, expect the host and others to block you, that way you will not be able to attend any parties thrown by the avatars blocking you.  If you don't like controlled tosses, don't go to them!

Beans2, you said:  "If you are low on gems, go to the grab and go's. My thoughts on both grab and go, and controlled toss parties are:  You can pick up gems for low cost, maybe only party passes. If you go to grab and go for just the G & G, thank everyone and leave the party."

You are correct that, "If you are low on gems, go to the grab and go's.", because you as long as you have passes for the attendance fee, it doesn't cost you any gems..  The rest is a little confusing.  I think you meant to say you can pick up charms, not gems, for low cost if you have passes to get into the party, right?

I don't understand your issue in your last post, with the person who threw the 5000 gem entry party that you said he couldn't afford to attend and that he was greedy. Many players host multiple parties (some every hour) every day to give others the opportunity to get charms, but there's pretty much no way they could afford, time wise or cost wise, to attend all of them.

There are quite a few players who've been playing on the site a long time, and have achieved a high enough game level to get thousands of passes every month, so they can afford a 5,000 pass/gem entry fee. I'm sure that most of them use passes rather than gems, to attend these parties.  There are usually a few high entry fee parties scheduled every day now, as more and more players are reaching the higher game levels.

CW charges a flat fee to throw a party regardless of entry cost, so a host can throw expensive parties for those who are able to afford to go to them, but they don't need to be able to go themselves.  If a host was required to attend every party they gave, there would be a lot fewer out out there for the rest of us to be able to pick and choose from.

How can it be "greedy" to host a party that you can't afford to go to, when the host gets NOTHING in return if they don't attend, plus they're out the coins it costs to throw the party to begin with? It's not as if you get a "cut" of the entry fee just for listing a party.

As for parties with gift requirements, as I've posted elsewhere, I don't have a problem with people doing this as long as they clearly state there are requirements and what they are.  Then you can choose simply not attend if you don't like what they're asking for, since there are plenty of no-requirement parties to choose from.  If you accidentally find yourself at a requirement party and don't want to give what's being asked of you, apologize and tell them you didn't know about the requirement, then leave quietly.
