WHERE ARE THE PASSES IN THE TREASURE BOXES?????
Lately the passes in treasure boxes have been few and far between. I find it very discouraging to choose a 4-hour box and get a charm and this has been happening quite frequently. It is posted saying that the larger the box the better the prize. Well, I don't consider a charm a better prize. I feel those higher-timed boxes should have passes, gems or coins. I have been in many parties where people have complained of not getting any passes in their treasure boxes. Some of us pay quite a bit of money monthly to play on CW. It should be fun and enjoyable, but you are taking the enjoyment away from many. I have even considered leaving CW because you are taking the enjoyment out of it. Please consider being a bit more generous with your treasure box gifts. Rant over!

Passes are a rare drop in most of the treasure boxes but they are common in the "bubbling" boxes. If you are wanting passes pick the bubbling boxes regardless of the time length. Bubbling boxes with lightning pay in passes 100% of the time, look for them especially.
Also, if you are actively playing you are better off picking the short timed boxes more often, if you are leaving the computer unattended then the longer timed boxes are better.

Just moments ago I got 17,000 Party Passes from the one hour Treasure Box with no distinctive activity on display. It's my opinion that these prizes are very random in nature but am acknowledging that bubbles tend to produce passes more often than other TB displays. And, as always, large expensive cities are the key to large prizes.

The box types and colours are independent of each other. In other words if you are hoping to get passes go for the bubbling boxes regardless of what colour they are.

I got 19.9 K in a 2 hour box last night my best ever. I find when the 4 hour has bubbles its the mystic ruby or luckiest 7 charms

4 hour bubble boxes have never produced passes for me Like Michael said Mystic or Lucky 7 charm 100%. The passes have gotten extremely light since the new ownership. That is just my opinion, not only that but you cannot win playing games without charms. I think they know if we get passes all the time they won't get money, but I am willing to buy gems if I know I can win, when it is like it is now all I want to do is quit and find something else to do. We all spent quite a bit on all those Willie Nelson Buildings and the fact that passes are now being slowed to a crawl is not right. I love it here but cannot stay if this continues. Beaz

The 2 hour boxes are the best for me for passes. I usually get between 2200 and 2900 per box and on occasion alot more.

Agree with Michael, I get best results on the 3rd box (2 hour box) but occasionally the 2nd box will pop a lot of passes.
I also can go a few days in a row with little action in the passes department then comes some nice party pass treasure boxes. At the end of the month I end up scoring tens of thousands passes like every other month.

I get alot of passes I hit up the GNG partys. My 10 minute boxes hae been good tonight got 3 passes boxes with 1200 to 1400 in each

Today I have gotten ZERO PP with any box. Bubbles, Lightening, smoke, flames, all times. Charms and coins only. I have about 200 Willie Buildings. I think they hate me

I just switched computers and don't have the data at hand but I'm pretty sure I didn't notice any significant difference in the chance of getting passes from a bubbling box across the different box times. Also, the last week or so I've hit passes in a bunch of boxes. I think maybe it's just variance you guys are experiencing, eventually the law of averages will kick in.

The ones with the fiery flames could be gems

You can get gems from (almost) any box but the odds are way better with flaming ones. This is the only semi reliable way to get free gems if you don't spend anything.
The other ways to get gems for free are:
- As a prize on the buster meter at some charm parties.
- From buildings in your city when you collect coins, mainly only from high value buildings from what I've seen and it's rare.
- Prizes from contests that CW runs, usually you have to purchase to qualify for those contests though and even then you aren't likely to win.
- Rewards for hitting some lifetime milestones.
- Some daily and monthly challenge rewards, you get a LOT more if you are a VIP.
- I think I might have gotten some from the "x days logged in" balloon also but I might be remembering wrong.1 -
My last 2 boxes were 1 hour bubble 3200 passes and 2 hour bubbles 14.9K passes.
