Can't buy building blocks in Building Shop
Today I have not been able to buy any additional building blocks in the Building Shop. It shows how many building blocks I already have, but when I click on them, it doesn't bring up the buy screen.

Can you ever buy blocks ? You just have to go buy what building you want to buy. Then it will charge you the blocks or gems for that building

Until Yesterday, you could "pre-buy" building bucks by clicking on the building bucks icon, then adjusting how many gems you wanted to convert. As LuckIs A Lady said, that feature went away yesterday. It was nice being able to do this, especially when getting ready to purchase a large number of buildings.
Hope CW puts this back the way it was.

the new way they are doing building bucks is just another way to get you to spend cash.They are Coverting how many extra gems it will cost you to buy that building only. go to the 75 million buildings and go to buy it. Then a cash screen will show up. So, it will now cost you real cash to build up your city.

No they are selling building buck packages. There are three of them.

The three packages are 86 million for 49.99, 198 million for 99.99, 561 million for 249.99. that is not gems, but cash. And don.t forget the taxes

So, I used to buy building bucks with the gems I have, If you can't do that anymore how do you get building bucks?
If you have to pay REAL money for building's then this really sucks and it will alienate a lot of people
Would be really nice if CW would let people know about changes ahead of time
I think people are starting to get a little fed up with things around here, way to go CW

It would be really nice if CW would let us know when they change something, and it's not readily apparent what you're supposed to do instead of what you've always done which now doesn't work anymore.
Yes, you can still buy Building Blocks with gems. You simply click on the building you want to buy. If you don't have enough Building Blocks, it will say "You need x number more Building Blocks to purchase" and then it tells you how many gems it will cost to buy them. If you click on the number of gems needed, then "OK" on the next screen, you buy the building and that amount of gems is deducted from your total. It's actually easier than before, because you don't have to use the arrows to get the number of Building Blocks you want to buy.
Strangely, even though I already had 7K Building Blocks and it subtracted that number from the total it said I needed to buy the building I wanted, it didn't actually take the 7K BB away. So when you spend, 200 gems to buy Building Blocks for a 5M BB building, you are buying 5M BB, not the 4,993,000 BB it said I needed, since I had 7K BB to being with. In other words, it still rounds off the number of BB's purchased to the same increments as it did before.
I'm "assuming" that the real money purchases come in if you don't have enough gems to buy the Building Blocks needed to get the building you want, and you feel you really have to have that building without waiting until you get more gems.

I used to buy building bucks with my gems....when I saved up enough gems, I'd buy some building bucks. I would let it accumulate until it was enough to buy a big building. That feature has been taken away so I guess my building purchases will suffer. Several other folks have mentioned that same situation. Building purchases may decrease...CW should monitor that to see if the change was worth it.

I just took a look.
I have 21M building bucks and clicked on the Light Pyramid, it says I need 54M more building bucks and has a button for "Pay difference with Gems". Not sure what you guys are looking at. It would make sense to have an option to buy building bucks appear if you don't have enough gems maybe?
The new system is way better than the old system IMO.

.I had a live chat and was told the packages aren't always available. I only had 300,000 build blocks left and went to buy more. And that option was gone. I also clicked on the building i wanted to buy and saw the Pay difference with gems. Confused i clicked on the light pyramid building and the cash option appeared. And as far as the tickle post it showed up in my email. But then again maybe i don't know what I'm looking at

After reading the comments here, I went to the building shop and the option to buy building bucks with gems is still there. I clicked on a light pyramid, and it said "success' as it has always done in the past.

You used to be able to buy small increments and not packages. For example, let's say I had 1000 building bucks and needed 100,000 for a specific building. On a regular basis, I could buy 10,000 or 2,000 or 50,000. But now, you can only buy the full amount.
